CPS Training for School Clerks & P.E. Teachers

FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PAYROLL SERVICE: Mandatory Citywide Training for All School-Based Clerks
In an effort to serve our schools more effectively, re-calibrate, raise the standards, and improve consistency across the district, the Department of Payroll Services will conduct mandatory citywide three-hour training for all school-based clerks. Four three-hour sessions are available on Monday, January 7 and Tuesday, January 8. Clerks must register for this training on CPSU.

The Office of Student Health and Wellness is hosting the next PE Professional Development on Friday, February 1st from 8:30 AM-3:00 PM at Saucedo Elementary School (2850 W. 24th Blvd.). This session, which is open to all elementary and high school PE teachers, will cover various topics including grant writing, increasing moderate to vigorous physical activity during PE class, advocating for PE, and the district’s newly-developed scope and sequence, which will be required for the 2013-14 school year.
