CTU’s House of Delegates Endorses Occupy Chicago
On October 19, 2011, the CTU House of Delegates voted overwhelmingly to endorse Occupy Chicago.
Occupy Chicago is a local version of Occupy Wall Street, the nonviolent social movement to fight corporate abuse. Locally, these abuses take the form of TIFs, toxic bank swaps, and pay-to-play politics.
On October 10th, Occupiers were there for us when 10,000 marched to protest corporate greed. Let’s be there for them.
Last Saturday, October 15th, 175 occupiers were arrested for camping out in Grant Park, a publicly-funded space in Chicago.
This Saturday, let’s march to help them win a space at Grant Park.
Several thousand expected. Be a part of this historic movement.
