TAKE ACTION: Call Your Senator, Support Collective Barganing

by Political Activities  |  01/02/2013

URGENT: With the lame duck session coming to a close, action is needed to stop the Senate from passing anti-union legislation.

The Illinois Senate is planning to consider legislation late tonight or early tomorrow that would eliminate collective bargaining protection for thousands of public employees and has the potential to affect nearly every union that represents public employees under the Illinois Labor Relations Act.

Your input is needed to convince Senate leadership and members to vote against anti-labor legislation.

To voice your opposition, please call 217-782-2000 and ask to be transferred your senator. Tell your senator to oppose SB 1556. Click here to download a fact sheet on the proposed legislation.
