Download Photos
Here's how to download the large-size files on our (or anyone's) flickr account.
- Access our sets at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/chicagoteachersunion/sets/
- Choose the set from which you want to take photos.
- Once in the set, you can either choose right from the thumbnails or watch the slideshow (upper right-hand corner, you should probably open it in a separate window so the next step will be easier) to pick the exact photo you want to download.
- Choose your photo from the thumbnails by clicking on it. This will take you to a screen with a photo and description and various other information about the photo.
- Above the photo, find the buttons that say "Prev" and "Next" with arrows. Between them is a magnifying glass with a plus sign in it. Click the magnifying glass button. This will take you to the "lightbox."
- In the lightbox, find the button in the upper right that says "View all sizes" and click it. This will take you to a "Large" version of the photo. If that is sufficient, skip to step 8.
- Click on the link above the large photo that says "Original" and gives the dimensions of the original photo below it. This will open a very large version of the photo (best for print publications).
- Right click on the photo (or Ctrl-Click in Mac) to open the context menu and choose "Save Image As" or whichever item is similar.
- Voila!
