  • Harvard University offers free tuition for low-income students

    Harvard University announced that it will waive tuition for outstanding students who come from low-income families (less than $60,000 a year). Click here to read the article. For more information visit Harvard's financial aid website at www.harvard.edu/admissions.


  • Scholarships available through the IFT

    The Illinois Federation of Teachers offers two scholarships each year to high school seniors. Click here to get more information about the scholarships offered by the IFT.


  • Chicago Foundation for Education offers Small Grant

    The Chicago Foundation for Education is offering $500 Small Grants to elementary teachers with innovative classroom ideas that will enhance student learning. The application deadline is October 14. To apply for a grant and obtain more information register on the Chicago Foundation for Education application website at www.cfeapplynow.org.
  • 2008 Teachers as Leaders and Learners Workshop

    The Chicago Foundation for Education will be holding their 2008 Teachers as Leaders and Learners Workshop on Saturday, September 27. The event will be held at Whitney Young High School from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The registration deadline is Thursday, September 25.
