CPS CEO Forrest Claypool and Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s handpicked Chicago Board of Education are targeting Union teachers for standing up for their students—while they’re starving our schools of funds for public education.

The CTU Six are rank and file teachers currently being targeted for termination by CPS because of their outspoken advocacy for education justice. You shouldn’t lose your job for doing what’s right, and we shouldn’t be giving tax breaks to Mayor Emanuel’s campaign donors while our schools suffer from a lack of funding.

Send a message to Claypool, the Board of Ed and the person who appoints them, the mayor: Stop targeting teachers for standing up for their colleagues' rights and their students' education—and fund our public schools!

  • Call Claypool at (773) 553-1500 and the Board of Ed at (773) 553-1600 and demand that they stop targeting teachers for standing up for their students.
  • Contact your alderman and ask they support the use of tax increment financing (TIF) and the corporate head tax in funding our schools.
  • Defend and support the CTU Six and other teacher advocates by promoting the #CTU6 hashtag and #CTU6 content on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
